The Toronto Forum for Global Cities is a non-profit organization fostering dialogue on national and global issues. It is held under the auspices of the International Economic Forum of the Americas.
The International Economic Forum of the Americas was founded in 1995 by Gil Remillard, former Minister under the Bourassa Cabinet, with several portfolios between 1985 and 1994.
Prominent Canadian Non Profit organization based in Montreal and Toronto, The Forum aims at promoting an exchange of views and perspectives on pressing economic issues of our times among world leaders, renowned experts and business executives.
The Forum works in close collaboration with international organizations such as OECD, IMF, World Bank, UNESCO, development banks as well as leading companies, universities, and federal/provincial authorities.
The Forum has grown to become a landmark organization bringing together more than 5000 delegates and over 200 speakers combined under the auspices of two annual conferences: the Conference of Montreal and the Toronto Forum for Global Cities.
The International Economic Forum of the Americas publishes a magazine and several books on a wide variety of issues including corporate management, world economics, and governance.
