Anabel González, Minister of Foreign Trade, Costa Rica
As from 8 May 2010, Anabel González has been appointed Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica. Ms. González was senior consultant on trade and investment issues for the Inter-American Development Bank (2009-2010). She previously served as Director of the Agriculture Division in the World Trade Organization (2006-2009); Costa Rican Special Ambassador for U.S. Trade Affairs and Chief Negotiator of CAFTA-DR (2002-2004); Director General of Costa Rica’s Investment Promotion Agency (2001-2002); Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade (1998-2001); and Director General for Trade and Investment Negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica (1990-1997).

He has held several important positions such as Deputy Minister of Housing and Deputy Minister of Construction between the years 1985 and 1990.

Peter Tsantrizos, President and CEO, Terragon Environmental Technologies Inc.
Dr. Tsantrizos was born in Athens, Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1971 at the age of 15. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University in 1978 and his Ph.D. from the same university in 1988. His Ph.D. thesis was on the use of plasma technology to synthesize and form advanced materials.
In April 2004, Dr. Tsantrizos founded Terragon and has served as the Company’s President, Chief Executive Office and Chief Technology Officer ever since. He has led all operations of Terragon, including the development of its proprietary waste treatment technologies.
